Breaking Barriers, Building Dignity: Menstrual Health Awareness and Pad Distribution by SSWF

In one of the most neglected and remote villages, Sanskriti Social Welfare Foundation (SSWF) organized a free sanitary napkin distribution drive along with a menstrual health awareness session—bringing light, knowledge, and dignity to a topic too often shrouded in silence.

Young girls and women gathered with curiosity and courage as trained volunteers sensitively addressed topics around menstrual hygiene, health, and myths, empowering them with information and confidence. Each sanitary pad distributed was not just a product—it was a symbol of respect, health, and equality.

Through its innovative initiative of maintaining Sanitary Napkin Banks across several villages, SSWF ensures that teenage girls receive sanitary products free of cost, helping them avoid school absenteeism, health issues, and social shame.

Breath of Care: SSWF Delivers Free Oxygen to the Elderly

In a quiet but powerful moment, an elderly woman received an oxygen cylinder at her doorstep, delivered by a caring volunteer from Sanskriti Social Welfare Foundation (SSWF). During the critical waves of COVID-19 and beyond, SSWF has been providing oxygen cylinders free of cost to elderly individuals and COVID-affected patients who lack access to timely medical support. This home-delivery effort is a part of our ongoing mission to ensure that no life is lost for want of a basic necessity—oxygen.

Dignity in Every Step: SSWF Distributes Crutches to Differently-Abled Beneficiaries

In a heartfelt event organized by Sanskriti Social Welfare Foundation (SSWF) for over 300 identified differently-abled beneficiaries, an emotional moment stood out—an elderly man receiving a pair of crutches, his eyes welling with gratitude and hope.

Education

At Sanskriti Social Welfare Foundation, we believe that education is the most powerful tool for transforming lives and building a just, knowledgeable, and progressive society. Our work in the field of education stands as a testament to this belief.

From tree plantation drives, clean-up campaigns, and plastic-free awareness programs to educating communities about waste management, water conservation, and sustainable living, our efforts are rooted in action and impact. As part of the State Government of Jharkhand’s horticulture initiative, Sanskriti Social Welfare Foundation proudly undertook the task of beautifying the Government School at Burma Mines, Jamshedpur.

Through this initiative, we transformed the school’s surroundings with green landscapes, flowering plants, and eco-friendly spaces, creating a more vibrant, welcoming, and inspiring environment for students and staff alike. Our aim was not just aesthetic upliftment, but to promote environmental awareness, love for nature, and a cleaner school ecosystem.

Under the visionary horticulture initiative of the Government of Jharkhand, Sanskriti Social Welfare Foundationproudly contributed to the beautification of the SDO Office in Deoghar.

Through carefully planned horticultural enhancements—including plantation of ornamental trees, flowering plants, and landscaping—we helped transform the premises into a greener, more inviting space. This effort not only supports environmental sustainability but also promotes a cleaner and more serene working environment for public service.Our contribution reflects Sanskriti’s ongoing commitment to eco-conscious development, civic pride, and partnership with government-led initiatives.

Sansriti Social Welfare Foundation, in collaboration with the correctional administration, has undertaken a horticulture and floriculture initiative within the premises of Ghaghidih Jail, with the aim of promoting reformative engagement and environmental enhancement.

Through the development of green gardens, flowering beds, and fruit-bearing plantations, this initiative not only beautifies the jail surroundings but also provides inmates with hands-on training in gardening and plant care. These activities foster a sense of purpose, discipline, and peace, turning idle time into opportunities for learning and reflection.

In a unique step toward sustainable agriculture and rural livelihood generation, Sanskriti Social Welfare Foundation has leased a farm to cultivate watermelons as part of its agri-based empowerment initiative.

This project not only promotes eco-friendly farming practices, but also creates seasonal employment opportunities for local laborers, especially women and marginal farmers. Through scientific guidance, organic techniques, and hands-on participation, we aim to showcase how small-scale farming can be both profitable and community-driven.

Greening Governance: Horticulture at SDO Jamshedpur Offices

As part of the Government of Jharkhand’s horticulture initiative, Sanskriti Social Welfare Foundation has taken the lead in beautifying the residential and administrative offices of the SDO, Jamshedpur, through structured horticultural development.

Lush green spaces, ornamental plants, and well-maintained gardens have been thoughtfully introduced to enhance the aesthetic appeal and environmental value of these important civic spaces. This initiative not only creates a serene and eco-friendly atmosphere but also reflects a broader commitment to clean, green, and people-friendly governance.
